Born and raised in Flint Michigan in 1947. For you that means I am born in the year of the Boar. In western culture; I was born August 24th so I am a Virgo. No matter your culture or mine; my personality is a combination of Boar and Virgo. So you want to know me, look at Boar as well as Virgo. Was married at age of 25. At the same time I started at the University of Wisconsin for the business school. In the Air Force I was tested in a competition to be a personal chef for a U.S.A.F. General. I was number one Air Force wide. In the marriage we had 5 children. Tom, my boy was first, then 4 girls, Ericka, Elizabeth, Rachel, and Brittany. Now have 18 grandchildren. My schooling was as a professional Chef, European trained. Spent 15 years as a Chef, owned my own evening restaurant; white table cloths, piano bar, wine list. That sort of restaurant is how I put myself through college. The University of Wisconsin, Whiterwater is where I went to school. Majored in business education, minor in economics. One of the characteristics I have; I get bored if not being challenged by my work. The work in the restaurant kept me challenged for a long time. Every day was different, between the customers, and the people working for me there was never a dull moment. During my lifetime I have worked at or owned several different businesses. This includes the following: 1. Apartment management on a local level then on National level. 2. Transportation employee (while raising the kids, needed insurance to cover the cost of children.) 3. Owned a landscaping business for 5 years. Had both commercial and residential accounts. 4. Owned a photographer business which specialized in Fashion photography. Went to school while doing landscaping. Being the owner allows one to do both. To me this was the single most enjoyable job, however my wife did not like the quality of women around me so I had to sell the business. While I was a photographer I was the print judge chairman for the Professional Photographers of America-Nevada division. That same year I was co-founder of the Nevada Camera Club with 5 others for non-professionals, now club has over 1500 members. 5. Became the manager for "Smokin Ass Cigars" a coffee company out of Hawaii that also sold Dominican cigars. You can still Google the name and find them in business in Hawaii on Kona Island. 6. Became a salesman at an Art store, selling fine art as well as sculpture. Never having been in Art sales before it took me several months to get good at it. Worked until business folded because the downturn in the economy. 7. Was hired by a company that I did business with selling art. Sold them the "Art of the Cigar" which were custom framed cigar box tops from the early 1900s. They hired me on as a salesman for all 5 stores. I became 1 sales person after the first month. The other sales people would follow me around and listen as I did sales. Retired at 62 which lasted about 6 weeks. Went back to work part time in the Transportation business specializing in taking people in wheel chairs to their doctor appoints. As you can tell with all this I did several different things that required me to use my intelligence, sociability, as well as people skills.
