Recently? White Ribbon. Also Pan's Labyrinth, Delicatessen. Many many more... where to start?
Healthy, Vegetarian - Yes I sometimes eat meat but I enjoy vegetarian! Home grown... but I don't have a garden - Boo! Foods I've never had before. Scottish (So bad it's good!)
Plants (Herbs and Spices) are what inspire my own cooking... experiments!
While I listen to and enjoy just about anything, I tend to lean my ears away from mainstream, commercial stuff. Presently I'm especially enjoying "Acoustic" folksy or world music sounds but I also like blues and jazz and classical music... early music in particular. It's the raw essence and spirit that I connect to, rather than polished performance and production.
Sometimes scruffy, sometimes smart. Still exploring how I like to present myself - When not dressing practically I appreciate vintage styles. I quite fancy the idea of dressing as an Edwardian gentleman! - Oh That reminds me! I'm considering taking up Lindy Hop to keep fit. It's 1920's-40's style dancing - considered quite raunchy at the time! Much more fun than gym or jogging round the block don't you think?
More a skewed outlook on life and somewhat surreal. I don't do sarcasm myself but I appreciate dry wit and cutting observation!
Photography, Plants and their uses, folklore, Nature and the Great Outdoors! Music. I sing, play Flute, tinwhistle, harmonica. Teaching myself the Mandolin. I play for my own pleasure and mostly by ear. I go to see bands and concerts, The Proms too every once in a while! I took up Yoga last year and have had lessons in Thai Massage which is a growing interest for me... where to find the time for it all though?
Some people know what they like and like only what they know. I've found myself instead to be a person who enjoys exploring life's possibilities and I'm curious about the unknown rather than fearful of it. "Travel broadens the mind" they say. Likewise, exploring our experience of life with someone who sees it from a different perspective is enlightening, especially if we can accept differences, adapt, and even enjoy them. For me that's like living two lives in a lifetime!
Cheerful and well meaning with an adventurous outlook. Sometimes I appear distracted or careless, but never deliberately so.
I'm not materialistic, I care more about the natural environment and am concerned about the consequences of consumer society in a world of finite resources.
