Hello, I like making music (playing the piano and guitar), cinema, and the arts, I enjoy cooking, writing and languages. I used to paint a lot but haven't done that recently. I also build websites and do lots of other "internet stuff". I love Contemporary Art and Contemporary Dance. I like things that look new (I don't understand the point of "distressed" jeans or furniture) and have a minimalist style (some would say to an absurd degree). I have moved around a lot, lived in Turkey a long time ago, spent a while in India, more recently lived a few years in Southern and Northern Spain, a year and a half in Colombia where I have just left. I speak English and Spanish and am learning Mandarin. I like to travel and will be moving to China permanently in August. Films I liked: The Incredibles, Leon, V for Vendetta, Up, Eternal Sunshine and the Spotless Mind, Matrix I, Roman Holiday, Galaxy Quest, Spanglish, Amelie, Little Miss Sunshine (so cute), Role Models (surprisingly funny), The Apartment (just brilliant writing), Princess Bride, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, House of the Flying Daggers. Films I was most dissapointed by: War of the Worlds, Kingdom of Heaven, Godfather, North by Northwest, Serenity, Paranormal Behaviour, Tomb Raider, Collateral, The Day the Earth Stood Still (Keanu Version). Books (Fiction): A Prayer for Owen Meaney, Glass Bead Game, Time-Travellers Wife (so much better than that terrible film), Farenheit 451 (First 20 pages are amazing), Four Letters of Love (Niall Williams) Books (Non-Fiction): The Money Lenders (Anthony Sampson), When Genius Failed (Lowenstein), Confessions of an Economic Hitman (Perkins), Sacred Geometry (Lawlor), Vibrational Medicine (Gerber), Materia Medica (Murphy), Trance-formations (Richard Bandler), Influence (Cialdini), Health Thyself (Bach). Awakenings (so much better than that terrible film) and a million others that didn't spring to mind immediately. Tao Te ching perhaps. Food: Sushi !!!!!!! Thai, oriental food. I don't each much meat, although I'm not a vegetarian. I like to eat healthy food, so I cook at home a lot. Lots of fruit and vegetables. Lots of smoothies! Music: Rock, Opera, Jazz, Flamenco, Classical, Blues, Arabic, Traditional Indian Music, Folk, Pop, Latin. Russian Sacred Music is awesome! Bach is king, especially played by Jacques Loussier. Or Glen Gould. Mozart String Quartets, Deep Purple, Camaron de la Isla, 70's UK Punk, Rag Lalit... the list is endless. I never really "got" rap music and reggaeton is even worse (except for dancing to). Whatever music it is, it's always nice not to play the same thing every day, don't you think? Even my favorite tracks I only listen to once every five years. I'm really fascinated by sound, so often don't listen to "real" music at all :) I am Creative, Caring, and Well-Educated Hope to catch up with you soon!
