I’m a GP working in the U.K. most of my professional life but have had spells working in Australia and NZ over the years. I graduated from Uni in Sheffield in 1987. I have been separated about 5 yrs and have a daughter age 17 and a son age 14. They live nearby with their mum, I see them on a frequent basis. I actually turned 57 in November 2020, my profile is wrong but I can’t seem to change it. People regularly tell me I look younger than my age which is nice. I am quite health conscious. I'm fairly quiet and reserved by nature but I do enjoy the company of a few good friends, and wider family, when Covid allows that is! But I'm also comfortable in my own skin and can spend time in my own company quite happily. But I want to be able to share lifes ups and downs and simple pleasures with a special someone as this makes life much more enjoyable and fulfilling. I have a good sense of humour and don't take myself too seriously. I’m interested in reading, movies, theatre, travel , holidays , music, sport, science and health topics . I’m not religious though was brought up in the Catholic church as a youth. I'd love to share the experience of travelling with someone, seeing the sights , going to shows etc and sharing lifes simple pleasures like enjoying a good movie or meal with someone . I will be making a decision in about late 2022 whether to relocate to Australia to work, for at least a few years and possibly apply for permanent residency there ( via employer sponsorship). I'd be my dream to take my future wife with me of course. But I won't be applying to go back until the time is right from a family point of view. But they say how do you make God laugh? - tell him your future plans ! So for now plans to go to Australia are not concrete. I imagine there are some people out there to whom Australia would appeal more as a place to live then the UK. At the end of the day it'll be a joint decision. Edit. Top super annoying thing about online dating is people’s habit of just vanishing without a trace. I do understand that people are likely to be contacting more than one person at a time however and things can go down dead ends and others things crop up.
