My name is Ira Proctor. One day, a few years ago I woke up inside. I felt connected to the world and everyone in it... and I realized how much I loved living life and how I was squandering my time. I began to work on myself inside and outside. This is work that continues today. I hope I can find my love and we can continue to improve together. Please read what I wrote. I am not a good match for everyone, but I know that with a certain type of person I will be matched perfectly. I wish you all very good luck and to be happy. If you are interested in my please either send a message or you can simply ❤️ my profile so I know. I am much more likely to write if you hit the ❤️ button and I can see you viewed my profile. I'm sorry this is so long, but I think it is best. This way you can know something more real about who I am than a few pictures and can say. Better we are always honest, so real choices can be made. I do not smoke. I do not have gambling trouble. I do not drink any alcohol. I don't mind a woman who enjoys alcohol. I just choose not to have any. I can no be a match with someone who smokes. The smell is too bad. I love to learn and am very curious about many subjects. Science and history are fascinating. I love to watch educational programs, documentaries, and I enjoy reading of all kinds of books. I enjoy cooking very much. Also exercise, nature, hiking, gardening, swimming, basketball, and riding bicycle. I enjoy travel, but I love being home most of all. I do not want to find a woman and then go out from the home and be away from her. I want to find someone that likes to spend time with me and I can spend my time with her. I've become very interested in meditation and healing plants. I especially like to grow cacti and mushrooms. Thru these practices I've gone from a life long atheist to someone who has a deep spirituality (not a religion). The easiest way to express this in words is to say I now deeply feel and experience the oneness of everything, that our separateness from each other is an illusion, everyone and everything is one. We're like waves on the ocean that think they are separate, but if the waves look closer they see they're all part of the same ocean and all created from the same energy. We are much more than we know and we are all connected to everything. We are not living in the universe, we ARE the universe in one of the many forms it takes.

I am a lead executive of small corporation seeking wife and family. I am a man that seeks to find a woman that is independent, but also likes her man to be a knight in shining armor, which I am. I am easy going, loyal, athletic, caring and will always seek a way to deepen my relationship. I like using we chat. I anticipate building a lifetime love here. I am seeking a smile that melts my heart. I am a man that is comfortable in my own skin, I don’t seek material things or status, I just want to be a good man to my future wife, family and friends. I am a giver in a relationship. I hope to find a woman that has a fun-loving approach to life and has similar qualities. I am a passionate man and hope to find a woman with similar interests and passion for life. I don't like jealous, so I limit my off site communication. Would love to travel in the future, I hope to meet and court you. After building a foundation leading to a comfort level for both of us, I am open to relocation in retirement. I feel direct communication is needed with a meeting face to face ideal. I am very serious about meeting and more old school in determining chemistry between two people. I am not into games, since I am way to old for games. I know that we are potentially half a world apart, but I request that you come to me. I am a CEO of a small company. I am not rich in material things. I am divorced after 18 years of marriage. Single over 7 years. I am the youngest of 4 and both of my parents have passed away. I have three nephews that are 32, 32, and 26. I have mentored students from China to help them adjust to life in the USA. I was more of a host father to deal with their questions on culture. I was actually introduced to a social media platform by a Chinese student. Like having fun and enjoy travel, sports and the arts; I am competitive in sports but easygoing and won't be upset if I lose any more. I am outgoing with people I know but used to be very shy, so some time not as talkative upon first introductions. I also like exploring cultures and worlds. I like to play golf, volleyball and work out when possible. I enjoy seeing the world and doing spontaneous activities with that someone special.

Ok, I have to start out by saying thank you to all that have written me and I need to point out a few things. First is that I can no longer have nor do I want kids. I also would prefer to be with someone without kids as well. I'm a bit of a unicorn looking for a wonderful woman. I’m a widower trying to find a new normal. I was lucky enough to find a soulmate once in life and truly hope we all have a second one out there. I'm a bit of a romantic and my relationships are put ahead of much of the rest of my life. Everyone that knows me and meets me, the first thing that stands out is my friendly demeanor and smile. I would probably be described as the Matthew McConaughey of celebrities with a little Adam Sandler humor on the side. My friends called me “permagrin” in college because I was always smiling and it has just kind of stuck with me ever since. My friends would describe me as a loyal friend willing to help anytime in whatever capacity. While I need my own time, I like to spend as much time with a significant other as I can. What I mean by that is your significant other becomes your best friend so you like to and want to spend as much time with that person as possible. Sometimes I just like to go for a cruise and drive around with no destination in mind and listen to music. This helps clear my head if something is on my mind. I’ve done this for hours and ended up discovering little towns and neat places this way. Start the car, turn on some music, pick a direction and drive the road less traveled and see where it takes you. Vacation destinations are often the same for me. I like to rent a car and see the area and have the freedom to stop wherever I want. You never know what you’ll discover around the next corner. This way when you see the little sign that says “Ka’ena Point” you get to discover a beautiful white sand beach, turquoise waters and a fantastic view of mountains! Kick off the sandals and go for a walk in the warm water! These trips also lead to seeing beautiful places that you want to capture with a camera and frame them at home. Art and photography are an interest of mine and my house is full of both. I work to live and that is the truth. I like my job and I could have seen myself living to work at one point in my life, but life for me has turned to where I work to live now and spend my time with family and friends. Nothing wrong with living to work either and I respect that and I am quite compatible with that kind of person as well. It’s just not for me any longer. At this point in my life I’m focusing on bucket list items trying to work vacations and my time off into checking things off my list. I would like to find someone to do those things with. I’m good at making myself laugh which can then be infectious to be around because I’ll be in tears laughing at times. The smallest of things I can often find humor in. I find laughing to really be the best medicine. And if you can laugh at yourself and find humor in that you’re ahead of the crowd. Movies are my favorite pastime when I don’t have anything else going on. People usually ask me about movies and whether they should go see them or not. I will watch pretty much anything. Comedies are probably at the top of the list of favorites with Sci-Fi and Adventure coming in right afterwards. I also enjoy a good drama, action and even those mushy love stories as well. Each year between Thanksgiving and Christmas I enjoy watching Christmas movies, some of which I watch nearly every year and have become tradition and also watching new ones. Absolute favorite movie is Dazed and Confused. I liked it when it first came out long before it became a cult favorite. To this day it amazes me all the actors that have since become A-list since then. Mallrats is my second favorite movie. Surprisingly there are a lot of the same actors in each of these movies but they both came out about the same time. Some of my other favorite movies are anything Star Wars, Lord of the Rings/Hobbitt, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, pretty much anything Adam Sandler, anything Disney, Ghostbusters, Overboard, The Princess Bride, Spaceballs, James Bond movies, Marvel movies, Jaws, Paul, anything Quentin Tarantino, The Goonies, Midnight in Paris, Police Academy series, Vacation series of movies with Chevy Chase and anything Monty Python. This is a really small list of my favorite movies. When it comes to TV shows, I will say never before has there been such great programming on overall. The big budget shows like Game of Thrones are absolutely fantastic. I was disappointed they recently cancelled Powerless. I was enjoying that show. Firefly was a show that got cancelled too soon. How can you not love a sci-fi show with a little bit of old west cowboy flare to it! Stargate the movie and its television spin-offs SG-1 and Atlantis were great. Deadwood on HBO from many years ago was a great one because so much of it was historically accurate as well. I’ve watched SNL (Saturday Night Live) since the beginning. Yes I was just 4 when it started but my mom worked nights and dad and I watched it together! I’m not sure mom would have allowed that had she been home. I like a lot of older television such as Columbo, Get Smart, original Batman series, Tales from the Darkside, Star Trek, The Twilight Zone. I grew up watching Scooby Doo and still enjoy watching it to this day. I also enjoy other animated comedy such as Family Guy, South Park, Frisky Dingo, Venture Bros, Archer and the animated Star Wars shows. As far as newer shows, aside from those already mentioned I also watch The Tonight Show, Ridiculousness, Forged in Fire, The Orville, and a few others. My taste in music is quite varied, however, rock/pop are probably the main staple for me. My absolute favorite groups are The Beatles, Alice in Chains and Linkin Park. I love discovering new artists before they become mainstream. I love food, but the older I get the slower that metabolism has become so I have to watch what I eat and how much. No longer can I eat an entire pizza by myself like in college. Ok, so it was a pizza and a half. Don’t judge! :) My favorite food is seafood and I love sushi and am quite good at making sushi rolls myself. I like to have a group of friends over when making sushi though so I can make several different types of rolls and everyone can hang around the island in the kitchen talking as I prepare sushi. Lasagna and pizza are probably my favorites with good ‘ol burgers coming in right after that. If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life it would either be cheeseburgers or pizza, though sushi I could likely do as well. I love to try new foods as well and my palette has definitely gotten larger as I’ve gotten older to include things as a kid I didn’t like such as avocado. Now I love it! Go figure! Typical Friday for me depends on the time of year. When it’s nice out you might find me on Woodward Avenue (a local car cruise road) taking a drive and maybe getting a burger at the Hunter House (restaurant) or an ice cream at one of the stands in the area. In the winter I’ll be curled up on the couch with the dogs watching a movie. Sometimes I’ll be with friends at one of their houses for a BBQ or hosting one of my own.

What I like to do: sharing, reading, biking, hiking, kayaking, flying, rowing, adventure travel, sunset walks, cooking, gardening, meditating, sailing, yoga, workingout, deep philosophical discussions, laughing, being silly, communicating, affection, caring, you name a few. I like a wide variety of music, especially oldies and classical I spend some time in San Diego, after living there 15 years, and could spend more time in San Diego, but live in Mill Creek near Seattle. The best of both worlds, pacific northwest's natural beauty (at least in summer) and the sunshine of San Diego. I truly am an adventurous outdoor enthusiast, enjoying hiking to a highmountain lake for exercise and to enjoy the scenic beauty, best shared with a special life partner. I prefer a partner who can talk with me about anything, communication is essential to a longterm relationship, yet having fun is imperative to a happy life. I am affectionate and sensitive, but still a man, loyal, dependable, consistent, but adventurous. I am happy, realistically optomistic, humerous, fun loving, down to earth, yet can be sophisticated when necessary, but am always true, respectful and in awe of our universe. I have no political affiliation, but tend to error on the conservative with most issues, when I don't error on the liberal. I am serious about finding a life long relationship, but would welcome a friendship that is meant to potentially develop into a life long partnership. It takes a while to get to know some one to know if there is that compatibility, but we know immediately if there is potential. I don't like changing, and am not unduly picky. We all have many opportunities, but we must be true to our own hearts before we can be true to a partners. In a lifetime relationship, growth is inevitablely at least partially on a different path, and its the want to continue with a long term mutually gowing union that may be the most essential quality for two to make it happen. And having fun with this whole journey can make it all enjoyable. Health is one key to happiness, and Happiness to me is not a feeling, not having material possessions, or control, but happiness is a way of life, an attitude, a way of living that is connected to everything and everyone, the universe, animal life, plant life, the soil, rocks, air, space, water, time and the progression of civilization. Happiness is a oneness with all life, life force, energy, matter, and things we cannot imagine And living this association while being aware of it and enjoying being a part of it, no matter how major or insignificant. That is what is most important: to be, to know; and if influential, hopefully beneficial. As was so eloquently expressed by ITS A BEAUTIFUL DAY, in David LaFlamme's song PLACE OF DREAMS "...And we are one with the earth and air, climbing the ascending stair, to the temple of the dawn. In a moment of time, after dreaming sublime, refreshed before the climb. We smile, and are gone. "
