Seeking: Female 34 - 60
Home type: Condominium
It's true … 70 is the new 50 — if you stay active (both mentally and physically) and keep learning new things. If you’ve seen my picture, you may have noticed that I look quite a bit younger than my age. It is possible that, by accident, I have discovered the Fountain of Youth: healthy food, regular exercise, a lively sense of humor, plenty of sleep, and … yes, keep learning new things. I live in the city (Washington, DC), but I but like getting out of town for weekend hiking trips in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I love being close to the water — lakes, rivers, even little creeks — and am entranced by the quiet beauty of fresh snow. I am a professor of English, but I don’t work for a college or university. I developed a simplified approach to understanding how the English language works (much easier to learn than the approach used by most schools in the U.S. and China) and started my own business about 25 years ago. I thoroughly enjoy my work — like waking up in the morning and getting things done. While attending the University of Hawaii, I studied the history and geography of East Asia. For many years, I have followed the political, cultural, and economic developments in Asian countries with great interest. Financial status: successful but not rich. Personality: serious-minded but fun-loving — with a wicked sense of humor. Do you like outdoor markets ? Small ethnic restaurants ? Are you a reader (as opposed to a TV watcher) ? Do you enjoy quiet moments ? I participate in a lot of athletic activities, but I don't want you to think that you have to do everything I do. I work out at the gym three or four times a week, do a lot of bike riding in the warm weather, and like to ski in the winter. I also play tennis, but I’m a better coach than a player. I enjoy a wide variety of music, from classical to jazz to ‘60s and ’70s rock (lived in San Francisco in the 1970s). I’m not the type of person who insists that we share all of the same interests and activities — hope you’re not that type either. If you think I am the kind of man you would be interested in meeting, I'd like to hear from you …
Alex
40 North Olmsted, Ohio, United States
Seeking: Female 25 - 40
Home type: Condominium
My name is Alex, 36 and I am from North Olmsted - I have been on this site on and have had a moderate degree of success. Obviously I haven't found the right woman so I figured I would stick around and keep my options open wherever possible. A little bit about me, I love sports and staying active. Football, basketball, and running are my favs. I am a huge 49ers fan in the NFL! Is it football season yet? LOL. My family and friends are a big part of my life and love spending as much time as possible with them. A night out with the guys to a bar is ok, but for me that is more a thing of the past. Trying out different restaurants is also great! Italian is my favorite, but I love pretty much anything. Going to the beach, comedies, and even just relaxing at home sometimes is ok. As far as what I am looking for, a down to earth woman who knows what she wants, has put her past behind her, and is ready for a relationship. I am looking for someone to call my best friend and to share fun times with. I bring a lot of passion with me and have a lot of energy, so someone on a similar level would be nice. Also, it would be nice to find someone that loves to travel - I have been fortunate to have been able to do a lot of that thus far, but my bucket list is still very long :) I think the best first date would be to just meet for a drink to get to know one another. No pressure of a dinner at a fancy restaurant and definitely no movies on the first date! LOL. So if I sound like someone you would like to get to know ladies, drop me a line. And let the fun begin!
