Hello, my name is Mark, thank you for taking the time to read my profile. It’s been a while since I looked for a partner, and now we are in the New Year I have decided to make a fresh start – so here I am! I have lived in Adelaide for most of my life, and am now in a position where I have built my own business. I enjoy a challenge and my work provides a great deal of this. As you can see from my profile, I like to be active, out and about, and enjoying life. I am fit and healthy with lots of energy and youthfulness. I love adventure and travel, walking in the hills or on the beach, or just spending time at home with a good movie or documentary. My aim is to travel the World; so far I have travelled quite a bit but there is a lot more see. In Australia I go on interstate holidays or business trips. Last year I took a four week holiday in a luxury motor home travelling along the NSW coast with my two children. We had a great time. Over the years I have seen some of Europe, and last year travelled to the USA, for business and pleasure. I have two wonderful teenage children, they are very important to me. We enjoy each other’s company and they stay with me regularly. I am a happy, friendly guy but would be a lot happier with a like-minded lady to share my life with. I am looking forward to a relationship with someone special. Life is too short, so come on why don’t you try me out, nothing ventured nothing gained. You could be happy. It could be the beginning of a wonderful friendship.

Nothing in this existence is ever for certain. One must always take a chance, a risk, or risk gaining nothing. I live for the present, but hedge my bets for numerous possible futures. And I am philosophical about my losses. I am a risk-taker, but not reckless and I like this in others. I never say “I can’t do that!” but rather, ask “How can I do that?” Life is a bundle of possibilities, exciting and always a challenge. I like people who have the courage to accept a challenge, and not be too hung-up on the outcome. If the result is not to your liking, either try again or move on to some new experience. I am healthy, physically active, young for my years in mind and body and believe that I am well balanced emotionally (I laugh and cry at the appropriate moments). I like people who look after their health, and I am attracted to intelligent, sensitive women. I like good food, good wine and intelligent conversation – although I don’t mind the odd bit gossip now and then! My favourite composers are Beethoven and Vangelis, and I like the Western female vocalists of the 90’s, and Enya. I am also a big admirer of Cai Qin, (Paula) Tsui Siu Fung, and to a lesser extent, Teresa Teng. My favourite movies always seem to be on non commercial channels (I absolutely detest advertisements), and I like to read light novels and science fiction rather than classical literature. I consider myself sensitive and caring about my partner’s needs. I am a hopeless romantic with a woman whom I find attractive. I believe in “Love at first sight” – it has happened to me. I thoroughly enjoy both the emotional and the physical aspects of romance. I dance pretty well, play a number of musical instruments, but am a woeful singer. I am genuinely seeking a “soulmate”, if you like the expression (which I do) but I am not in the market to support new partner financially; any prospective future partner must be on an equal level financially. However, nor do I wish to capitalise on someone else’s good fortune. I am quite happy agreeing to what is colloquially now known as a pre-nup if you wish it. As for my present circumstances; I am a retired chemical engineer cum process systems engineer. I do not own a home, but have sufficient capital to buy one should the necessity arise. I do not receive a government pension – I pay my own way! However by Australian standards, I am not wealthy. What small wealth I do possess will be left to my two sons when I die, unless they become so wealthy that they do not want it, and I admit, at present, this looks quite likely! I am also open to “partial” relocation such as part of the year living in Australia, and part of the year in China and/or traveling abroad. It is also important for you to understand that marriage must include a pre-nuptial agreement. In the event of my death, what estate I currently own will be left to my two sons. Conversely, I would not expect to inherit anything from your estate should you pass away before me.
