I am looking for an exclusive (just one, just you) relationship that can develop naturally. I'm also looking for a truly great friend, definitely compatible and definitely wanting to go in the same direction in life. I travel a lot and so and I'm quite independant with few responsibilities. That means I can live almost anywhere (within financial restraints). I am lookimg for someone strong that is quite emotionally self-sufficient that has their own interests and life and is not needy; someone that realises that other people can't make you happy and that true happiness (and love) comes from inside you. But I do believe in an agreed exclusive relationship and enjoying life to the full...as friends and partners. This is me (at the present time): I travel and I explore - both outer and inner worlds - and I'm quite adventurous. I think life is both an adventure and a school that reminds us who we are. I'm also curious: understanding why things are the way they are and the deeper (as far as I can fathom) meaning is important to me. I'd like to be more simple and natural and in relation to that, the natural world - everything that surrounds us in nature - shows us sublime manifest beauty. It's a wonder! Nature is self-sufficient and economical and that's what I aim for. I'm not materialistic and the mad chase for more and more superficial 'things' is crazy. Though I do realise that there are certain things that are needed...but a lot less than we think. But that's easy for me to say because I've never been hungry! I'm not religious though I think it's important that people have the freedom to explore life for themselves and make their own mistakes - that's how we learn I think. I understand that it is important to be open mindedly sceptical and to embrace uncertainty - because a lot of what we're told by others (parents, teachers, spiritual advisers etc is just rubbish...lol). Lastly, I'm a happy, relatively relaxed person who loves to laugh a lot. I find the world and life endlessly amusing and almost a big joke except for the fact that many people turn it into a tragedy. Good luck!

Hi there! Thanks for stopping and taking the time to read this... Anyone who has written one of these profiles knows it's hard turning the spotlight on yourself and trying to offer and an accurate description of what you are like to a complete stranger but hey.. here goes!... I'm really a very nice guy.. and there aren't that many of us left!.. I guess you could call me unconventional.. some might say mad or weird but they really don't know me at all *grin*.. The reality is that I'm pleasant, polite, very gentlemanly.. may friends say I speak "The Queen's English", I was brought up with good values and morals.. but i'm not stuck-up or judgemental... I guess I feel that having been single for a while, I'm looking for a partner with a view towards a long term relationship.. I think I set my sights quite high when it comes to finding someone to be with.. I guess that explains why I'm still single, but I simply won't compromise in my search.. I don't want to be with someone for the sake of being with someone, that to me is a complete waste of time.. I feel very strongly that if you are with someone in a committed relationship, then you must have genuine feelings for them.. I'm a firm believer in "chemistry".. no not the eye goggles and test tube chemistry.. the tingling, fuzzy vision, can't eat, drink, sleep, heartfelt chemistry you get when you meet the right person.. I suppose its only fair to admit that I'm very perceptive, I'm a naturally gifted empathic and readily able to read people extremely well. Daunting though it may seem to meet someone who can read people like books, beyond the serious exterior I can show that I still have a very soft, loving and sensitive side beneath. Due to the nature of my job, I'm very confident and animated when in the company of strangers or whilst working; but the people I work with would find it hilarious to ever hear me described as a quiet person - the reality is I am a very private, quiet, reserved and deep thinking person I guess I'm pretty easy going and willing to try anything at least once. I like the unconventional things in life, the unusual and bizarre. I have quite a dry/dark sense of humour but at my happiest when everyone around me is enjoying themselves I work approximately 60 hours a week in a very demanding and responsible job. I enjoy my work very much though it can often be quite tiring and stressful. I suppose this is why I appreciate my free time and need some escape to relax and unwind I'm way too old to be visiting nightclubs now, besides which its just not my scene. Nice classy lounge-bar or places with atmosphere and history. I love being spontaneous and some of my best holidays have come from sticking a pin in a map !
