I am looking for an exclusive (just one, just you) relationship that can develop naturally. I'm also looking for a truly great friend, definitely compatible and definitely wanting to go in the same direction in life. I travel a lot and so and I'm quite independant with few responsibilities. That means I can live almost anywhere (within financial restraints). I am lookimg for someone strong that is quite emotionally self-sufficient that has their own interests and life and is not needy; someone that realises that other people can't make you happy and that true happiness (and love) comes from inside you. But I do believe in an agreed exclusive relationship and enjoying life to the full...as friends and partners. This is me (at the present time): I travel and I explore - both outer and inner worlds - and I'm quite adventurous. I think life is both an adventure and a school that reminds us who we are. I'm also curious: understanding why things are the way they are and the deeper (as far as I can fathom) meaning is important to me. I'd like to be more simple and natural and in relation to that, the natural world - everything that surrounds us in nature - shows us sublime manifest beauty. It's a wonder! Nature is self-sufficient and economical and that's what I aim for. I'm not materialistic and the mad chase for more and more superficial 'things' is crazy. Though I do realise that there are certain things that are needed...but a lot less than we think. But that's easy for me to say because I've never been hungry! I'm not religious though I think it's important that people have the freedom to explore life for themselves and make their own mistakes - that's how we learn I think. I understand that it is important to be open mindedly sceptical and to embrace uncertainty - because a lot of what we're told by others (parents, teachers, spiritual advisers etc is just rubbish...lol). Lastly, I'm a happy, relatively relaxed person who loves to laugh a lot. I find the world and life endlessly amusing and almost a big joke except for the fact that many people turn it into a tragedy. Good luck!

Yes, I am a dreamer, an idealist. I am passionate about my career, my purpose in life, my partner, my quest for knowledge and my desire for a better life for me and my soulmate. Wow, that sounds pretty extreme - doesn't it? So at a day to day level how do I live this life? I love working with people who are seeking an extra dimension to their professional careers, I love coming home and discussing life, as i have experienced it and how I would like to experience it. I love seeing life through art, film, literature, music .... Specifically, I enjoy world music (Afro Cuba, Cuban, North African, African, Celtic), as well as the well known works of Springsteen, Dylan, Van Morrison. However, my CD collection does contain a lot of embarrassing moments (as well as lots of gaps to fill). I enjoy reading, learning new things, laughing at the world and my place in it. I try to balance some new knowledge, with quirky humour and trashy fiction. So at the moment i am balancing a bit of Dilbert, with David Mitchell & Mao's Great Famine. Although at times I can not quite work out which is the more surreal. Yes, this sounds a little heavy.... but I guess that is my mind rather than the content of it. I am at least a few light years away from a rocket scientist and get a lot of pleasure out of the joyful everyday pleasures - playing backgammon, mah jong, cooking and wondering at the quirks of humanity in Coronation Street etc. I guess a final word is about my love of Chinese culture. My last 6 holidays have all been spend in China, I love the landscape, the rich variety, the food, the 5000 years of culture .... so much so that I spent the last 6 months teaching there (in beijing). This was a great experience and I hope to repeat it in a few years time.....
