For my daughter’s education, I moved to Shenzhen, aiming for the British-style education system in Hong Kong. Unexpectedly, we were recommended by a school principal to study in the Philippines. What started as a one-year plan turned into something far longer. Then the pandemic hit. It changed everything. I had to shut down two 500-square-meter dental clinics in China I had to close a kindergarten tutoring center due to new education policies I refunded all tuition, paid all staff, and suddenly found myself in debt—a divorced, middle-aged mother starting over in a foreign country With no income, no English fluency, and no backup plan, I had to rebuild from zero. But the Philippines is the 3rd largest English-speaking country in the world, and I saw this as a hidden opportunity. Bit by bit, I worked hard to pay off debts, and more importantly: ✅ I helped my daughter speak fluent English ✅ I helped over 1,000 people open their mouths and speak confidently in English ✅ I helped 500+ stay-at-home mothers achieve financial independence ✅ I helped 300+ young people double their incomes through language Today, my daughter is in middle school and has her own world. I’m still working, still paying debts, still rebuilding—but for the first time in a long time, I looked at myself and realized: I’ve never truly lived for me. Now, I want to love again—not for duty, not for marriage, not for family, but just to purely, simply, sincerely love someone as a woman.
