I’m a retired physician living in Atlanta, and these days I spend my time doing things I genuinely enjoy: exercising, reading, writing, watching films, and volunteering at local museums. I’ve also returned to playing piano after many years away, which has been both humbling and rewarding. Travel has been an important part of my life, and I’ve been fortunate to see much of the world. China is a place I’ve come back to more than once — I’ve spent time in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Beijing, Xi’an, Guilin, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong. I appreciate the culture, the food, and especially the strong sense of community I’ve experienced there. I have two grown daughters who live in New York City, and I’m very proud of them. Family remains an important part of my life. I enjoy a wide range of music — especially jazz and R&B — and I’m often just as happy cooking a good meal at home as I am discovering a new restaurant. I’m also taking writing classes and working toward a longer project, possibly a novel or screenplay. I’ve been a widower for several years, and I’m now at a place where I would truly like to share life again with the right person — someone to build something meaningful with, day by day.
